Help for Shooting Victim Shakeya and Her Family

Can we donate $10 in your name to a local family recovering from a violent crime?

On January 9th of this year, Bremmel Jones and his two small children Shakeya, age 9, and Bremmel Jr, age 7, were victims of a random shooting that occurred while they were asleep in their beds.

Bremmel recalls waking in a panic, pulling his children to the floor and shielding them from the incoming bullets. After the gunfire stopped, he realized his daughter had been shot in the shoulder.

Ultimately the shooting has left his daughter, Shakeya, hospitalized in serious, but stable condition.

Right now, the family is in need of a safe place for Shakeya to come home to when she is released in a few weeks.

“As a community, we need to do everything we can to prevent violent crime and to care for those who fall victim to these tragedies,” says Kyle Houston, agency owner.

Currently, the father has been unable to return to work and the family is in need of funds and safer housing. This is where you can help. With a $10 donation in your name we can work together to care for this local family during this trying time.
